3 Week Reflection
[[{“value”:”
Today, while at my internship, I’ve been reflecting on my last three weeks. Recently, I connected with some locals at a park while I was working out, as well as through a faith-based event in Zurich, Switzerland. So far, I’ve been having fun in my Critical Introduction Photography class and have been looking forward to what I believe God is calling me to. I’ve made some good connections in the business world as well as in my internship site; it feels like family at work.
I look forward to planning some trips in the future, like going to Cinque Terre and Rome in Italy. There have been some tough adjustments made when coming to Italy, like learning Italian, haha, but also figuring out how to balance academics with my time outside of school. My host mom has been helping me adjust through generosity and by walking with me and my roommate to the IES school for the first day. Since Italian culture differs from US culture, I have made some adjustments to my dress code when attending class, and now I am considered “Bella figura” to all the Italians and my host mom, lol. Nonetheless, I feel like I belong here, like this season in my life holds a purpose for my future and my character, so there’s peace in resting in that.
